450MW Thermal power from two (2) Power ships

The Karpower project helped solve Ghana’s power crisis by providing 450 megawatts of power (ISO installed capacity) from two floating power stations to the state owned power Distribution Company. It was the first of the strategic measures by the GoG to address the power crises that hit Ghana in 2016. It added an additional 20% power to the national grid.

AB & David advised from start to finish covering PPAs, and the transmission and interconnection agreements with the power transmission company the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo).
