Meshack Kwakwa

Associate

Meshack is an Associate in the litigation department. With over 4 years of experience, he specialises in arbitration, banking and commercial due diligence, employment and labour disputes, constitutional law, judicial review and fintech.

He has assisted in advising and acting for both local and international clients across a wide array of sectors including financial services, manufacturing, payment services providers and public benefit organisations.

Meshack is part of the team representing a Kenya Government Corporation (in its capacity as receiver of various banks under receivership), against claims by its depositors and shareholders, as well as being part of the team representing the Corporation in the tracing and recovery of assets worth USD 220 million from individuals and companies alleged to have defrauded a mid-sized Kenyan bank, leading up to its receivership.

Meshack holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Sociology, both from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a post-graduate diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law. His recent publications include:
