Sybil-Marie is an Associate at AB & David, Ghana. Her areas of focus are Intellectual Property, Telecommunications and Technology, Labour and Employment Matters, Natural Resources and Extractive Industries and Africa Tax.

Sybil-Marie has substantial experience in advising clients on transactions in which regulatory compliance, data protection and privacy compliance, cyber security, and IP protection play key roles. Her recent work includes advising clients on M & A and commercial transactions, particularly ones which involve the fintech, ecommerce and the payment systems and electronic transactions markets.

Additionally, she has advised corporations on a wide range of employment law-related matters, including redundancies, terminations, pensions, employment incentives and benefits, remuneration and employee taxation.

She has also assisted with commercial and M&A transactions in the extractives industry. Recent notable transactions include advice to a gold company based in China, in its acquisition of 100% of the shares and assets of an Australian company with mining subsidiaries in Ghana and the conduct of due diligence for the acquisition of mining concessions in a Zambian mining Company and its subsidiaries by a Chinese mining company.

She holds a LLB from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and her Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law. She a member of the Ghana Bar Association and the International bar Association. She is qualified to practice law in Ghana.
