Augustina is an Associate at AB & David, Ghana. Her areas of focus are Corporate, Finance, Africa Tax, Start Ups and SMEs. Augustina advises borrowers, financial institutions, funds, corporate entities and governments on cross-border banking and financing transactions and general banking/finance regulation issues.
Her recent work includes advice to lenders on the effects of the sovereign debt restructuring on external debts and advice to financial institutions and DFIs on multi-million-dollar loan and security transactions for project and trade financing.
In addition, she has significant experience in cross-border M&A, tax advice, due diligence, corporate restructuring, corporate governance/compliance, alternative financing for businesses, property financing, project risk assessment, immigration and employment matters.
For SMEs, she advises on financing and customised packages to enable businesses upgrade and upscale, leveraging on the AfCFTA markets opportunities.
In 2022, Augustina spent 9 months seconded to Absa Bank Ghana Limited where she advised on multi-million-dollar financial transactions including syndicated loan transactions, collateralisation and transactions risk control/analysis.
She holds an LLB from the Ghana Institute of Public Administration (GIMPA) and obtained her Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law. She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
