EXPERIENCE

  • Part of the team representing a construction company in a dispute against a state corporation relating to the unlawful termination of a Construction Contract worth KES 17 billion (approximately USD 134 million). It is an ICC-administered arbitration.
  • Part of the team representing a Kenyan bank Under Receivership in a claim that seeks to trace and recover approximately KES 8 billion which amount was fraudulently siphoned from the Bank.
  • Part of the team defending a subsidiary of an international company in an arbitration dispute wherein the company, who is the employer, has been sued for KES 2.4 billion for inter alia payments for profits arising from omitted works, loss of profits, and payments for idle machinery.
  • Part of the team advising an international construction company on the enforcement of a performance bond worth USD 2.3 million issued in its favour against a sub-contractor.
